At Vail, skiers can ‘race' with Olympian
BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) — Vail Resorts Inc. is adding another feature to its EpicMix application.
EpicMix uses radio-frequency identification tags embedded on lift passes to let skiers and snowboarders track their vertical feet and which lifts they've ridden on the mountain. Visitors can automatically share their accomplishments through social media if they wish and earn digital pins for their feats. Another feature allows for online sharing of on-mountain photos.
