After Hours: See 3,000 years of Peru at SAM

This forehead ornament has a feline head and octopus tentacles ending in catfish heads. It is made of gold, chrysocolla and shells.

SEATTLE — “Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and Moon” is on display from Oct. 17 through Jan. 5 at Seattle Art Museum, with more than 300 pieces showing Peru's history from the Pre-Hispanic era to the Colonial period, and from independence to the modern art movement.
