After Hours: Guitar festival at Tacoma Dome

Guitarist and composer Kaki King was named one of the “New Guitar Gods” by Rolling Stone magazine.

TACOMA — You can see some of the world's greatest guitarists at the Tacoma Guitar Festival April 29 and 30 in the Tacoma Dome.

Along with live music, there will be more than 150 vendors, collectors and exhibitors at the weekend event.

Guitarist and composer Kaki King performs Saturday. King is known for her percussive and jazz melodies, and her fret-tapping and slap bass techniques. She has performed with Foo Fighters and The Mountain Goats, and was named one of the “New Guitar Gods” by Rolling Stone magazine.

Bruce Kulick of Kiss performs Sunday. Kulick has multiple Platinum and Gold records, and has toured and recorded with Meatloaf, Billy Squier, Michael Bolton and Grand Funk Railroad. Olympia native Ethan Tucker takes the stage Sunday. He was a contestant on NBC's “The Voice,” and has an unmistakable, bluesy voice.

Other performers will include Andy Timmons, Adrian Galysh, Larry Mitchell, Carl Tosten and Bryan Ewald.

Tickets are $15 per day or $25 for a two-day pass at TacomaDome.org and the Tacoma Dome Box Office.
