The Michigan-based firm announced the acquisition of the patented N-Viro Mulch system for creating color-enhanced mulch products from shredded wood waste.
Morbark purchased rights to the coloring System from The Craig Group of Grosse Ile, Mich.
The Morbark N-Viro Mulch Coloring System employs a patented process which uses rich, organic pigments to transform recycled shredded wood waste into a premium decorative landscape mulch.
When added to existing grinding and recycling operations, the system dramatically increases the value and marketability of processed organic waste.
The simple system includes a coloring metering system with auger and conveyor, an electric or gas pump stand and feed conveyor with infeed hopper. It is available in three sizes to fit individual applications. The unit can process 50 to 120 cubic yards per hour, depending on material.
Organic colorants are available in five earthtone colors, including red, gold, brown, rose and black.
