City Light shows off hybrid trucks June 18

SEATTLE — Seattle City Light is expanding its fleet with two new hybrid diesel line trucks, and will hold a demonstration of the trucks on June 18.

The trucks are part of the city's Climate Action Now effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The vehicles were designed to dramatically cut fuel use and emissions while providing quieter operation for repair crews working on evening and night projects.
