Investors say Berkshire will endure after Buffett

Warren Buffett’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis reminds Berkshire Hathaway shareholders that someday the 81-year-old will no longer run the conglomerate he built. Most shareholders would rather not imagine life without the Oracle of Omaha at the company’s helm.

OMAHA, Neb. — Berkshire Hathaway shareholders made their annual pilgrimage here last weekend, and were confronted with an uncomfortable truth: Warren Buffett, Berkshire's CEO and the greatest celebrity in investing, can't go on forever.
