    China’s economy grew about 8 percent last year. That’s down from the 9-10 percent of the previous four years but still one of the fastest rates in the world.

    NEW YORK — Down, down, down. That's the direction of stocks in the BRICS economies, which were investment darlings last year but now seem deadweights.
