Kurion, which offers nuclear and hazardous waste management with offices in Irvine, California and Richland, promoted David Brockman to executive vice president of North American Operations, and to oversee the engineering and robotics teams. He has decades of experience in nuclear waste management including at Hanford with the Department of Energy. He oversaw the $12.3 billion vitrification plant and DOE's Richland office.

General contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted Tom Dilts to vice president and corporate controller; and hired Jake Soukup and Mark Presleigh as project managers, Brandon Van Slyke and Dan Tunacik as project engineers, and Stacia Fogarty and Ashley Greene as operations assistants. Dilts has been controller of the Seattle office for 17 years. He holds an MBA from the University of Illinois and has worked in finance and accounting since 1980. Soukup studied construction management at the University of Washington, and has been in construction since 1998. Presleigh holds bachelor's degrees in electronics engineering and industrial engineering from Central Washington University. He has 10 years of industry experience. Van Slyke holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from State University of New York at Geneseo, and has been in construction since 2008. Tunacik holds a bachelor's degree in construction engineering and management from Purdue University, and has 10 years of industry experience. Fogarty has been in architecture and construction since 2004. Greene previously interned at Lewis.

The Seattle office of Abbott Construction promoted Chris Young and Kyle Raschkow to project executives, and hired Tom Bordner as director of business development. Young has more than 30 years of industry experience with a focus in healthcare, retail and industrial projects. Raschkow has 19 years of industry experience, specializing in healthcare remodels and tenant improvements. Bordner has more than 30 years of industry experience and owned a construction company.

Bellevue-based Rafn Co. promoted Michael Dziubinski to project executive, Chip Gregory to Special Projects Group operations manager, Chelsea Inglis to project manager and Joe Nascimento to senior project manager. Dziubinski is an integrated project delivery specialist with more than 30 years of construction experience, including 12 with Rafn. Inglis' work is focused on medical office and retail projects. Nascimento, LEED AP, has been with the firm for 14 years.

Bryan Kelley, a partner at the law firm of Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, was named Associate of the Year by the Associated General Contractors of Washington. Kelley chaired the AGC's Future Leaders Forum education subcommittee and developed FLF's 2014 Leadership Series (professional development seminars). He is also a member of the AGC's Legal Affairs Committee and is a steering committee member of the AGC of America's Construction Leadership Council.

The Port of Everett hired Steve Kirkelie as chief of administrative and legal affairs. He is deputy city attorney for Puyallup and starts at the port Jan. 5. This new position fills the role vacated when Les Reardanz was named executive director/CEO in November. The port is not filling the position of deputy executive director at this time.

Reliant Beverage Co., maker of Reliant Recovery Water, named Bill Germano president. He has more than 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Reliant says its water is electrokinetically modified to ease joints and muscles, and improve performance. The company is led by the Russell Family and based in Tacoma.

Ecova

Ecova, a Spokane-based energy and sustainability management company, named Jana Schmidt president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Jeff Heggedahl, Ecova's president and CEO for the past five years, recently announced his resignation. Schmidt has been with Ecova for three years as head of the sales and client management teams, and also led the expense and data management service.
