Lighthouse eDiscovery, a Seattle firm focused on ediscovery services and consulting, hired Maurice (Mo) Ramsey as general manager of consulting services. He was a senior director at CenturyLink and also worked at Slalom Consulting. Lighthouse prepares corporations for ediscovery and compliance.

Woodland Park Zoo

Woodland Park Zoo won several awards from the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. Former Director David Towne won the highest award for professional excellence: the R. Marlin Perkins award. He was director from 1984 to 2000. Bruce Bohmke, acting president and CEO, won an award for his involvement with AZA programs.

Mayer joins Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap added Brian Mayer as an associate director of its National Retail Group. Mayer will be based in the firm's Seattle office, and he will focus on sales of retail real estate in the Puget Sound region. Mayer last worked at Ewing & Clark where he arranged more than 100 sales and leases in five years. He worked with clients including New York Life Insurance Co., Mack Urban, Kauri Investments, Clise Properties, Holland Partner Group, SRM Development, Aimco, Point32. Marcus & Millichap said it closed more than 7,600 transactions valued at approximately $33.1 billion in 2014.

2 leases for Equity's Junction 47

Equity Residential said it has completed two retail leases at Junction 47, a 206-unit apartment complex at 4706 California Ave. S.W. in West Seattle that opened in June. Bishops Barbershop is taking 2,084 square feet in the complex, and Kukai Ramen has leased 2,715 square feet. The two stores will open next year. In June, Equity Residential announced that early next year a new location of The Lodge Sports Grille will open in a 4,200-square-foot space at Junction 47. Jason Miller and Damian Sevilla of Colliers International represented Equity Residential in the Bishops and Kukai leases. The apartments are about 50 percent leased. Weber Thompson designed the building, and Andersen Construction was the general contractor.

HFF arranges financing for Snoqualmie building

HFF said it arranged approximately $8 million in refinancing for Snoqualmie Ridge, a two-story, 76,661-square-foot office building in Snoqualmie. Tim Wright and Zack Holderman of HFF represented the borrower, Nexus Snoqualmie LLC. The building sits on approximately four acres within the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park along Interstate 90. It was built in 2001 and is 94.8 percent leased.

In its Seattle office, NAC Architecture hired Liz Katz as a project architect, Jordyn Prince as a marketing coordinator, Kyle West and Trent Best as electrical engineers, and Iris Yuhui Xu, Brandon McLaughlin, Chris Schwalbe and Grace Soejanto as architectural designers. Katz has experience in education and multifamily projects, with four years at Stantec Architecture in Houston, Texas, and three years at Long Architect in Beaumont, Texas. She is working on Black Diamond Elementary School. Prince holds a bachelor's in advertising and multimedia from the University of Oregon. She has experience in marketing and design for education and health care. West holds a bachelor's in electrical engineering from the University of Washington—Bothell and was a research engineer. Best has over ten years of experience in BIM modeling and electrical engineering. He was a nuclear electrician for the Navy and worked for Blu Homes. Xu holds a bachelor's in architecture from the University of Hong Kong and a master's in architecture from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design. She is working on the Enumclaw High School modernization. McLaughlin was with Klai Juba Wald Architects in Las Vegas. He is working on the Enumclaw High project. Schwalbe holds a bachelor's in environmental design and a master's of architecture from Montana State University. He was with Ensitio Design and is working on Bennett Elementary School. Soejanto holds a bachelor's in architectural studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. She interned with W Office in Indonesia, and is working on Black Diamond Elementary. NAC provides planning, design, engineering, and capital facilities consulting services, with offices in the western U.S.

Mahlum named JoAnn Hindmarsh Wilcox associate principal and PJ Bauser an associate. Wilcox is design lead for the education studio. She was responsible for Wilkes Elementary School, which won a 2014 National AIA Committee on Architecture for Education Design Excellence Award. Bauser has been with the firm for eight years and is in its health care studio. He worked on the Peace Island Medical Center on San Juan Island.

In its Seattle office, Sazan Group hired Robert Hamilton as a senior mechanical engineer and project manager and Mike Rayburn as a senior project manager. Hamilton has over 30 years of mechanical engineering and multidiscipline project management experience. Rayburn has over 30 years of experience in the industry and has managed multi-disciplinary projects. Sazan provides mechanical, electrical and fire protection engineering, technology systems consulting, commissioning, and owner representation services, with an office also in Portland.

DEI Electrical Consultants

Ben Helms, an electrical engineer with DEI Electrical Consultants in Spokane Valley, earned his engineer license in Washington and California. He is working on the Eastern Washington University Campus security master plan. DEI provides engineering, design, management and installation of electrical systems.

KCTS 9

KCTS 9 added new board members Larry Estrada and Glenn Wong. Estrada is a vice president in the Seattle office of Goldman Sachs. Wong, who is based in Vancouver, B.C., is founder of Catalyst Solutions.

U-Haul of Washington

U-Haul Co. of Washington said Uncle John's LLC signed on as a dealer in Buckley. Uncle John's at 26306 Highway 410 East will offer U-Haul trucks, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pickup for boxes. Uncle John's owner is Wally Kempe.
