In Seattle, global design firm B+H Architects hired Eva Talbot as a senior architectural designer. Talbot has over 10 years of experience as a project designer on high-rise, mixed-use, multifamily and transit projects. At B+H, she will do planning and design work. Seattle projects on which she has worked include the 2nd & Stewart residential tower, 12th & Jackson mixed-use and Dimension. She was a senior associate at Hewitt in Seattle.

Reid Middleton

Everett-based Reid Middleton named Don Barclay as airport group director. Barclay has 31 years of industry experience, including 27 with Reid Middleton. He will lead the airport group and grow the practice. He is working on projects at William R. Fairchild International Airport in Port Angeles and Sanderson Field in Shelton. Reid Middleton provides civil and structural engineering, planning and surveying services.

Wilson as intern architects. Eckwortzel holds a degree in business management from Western Governors University and two senior-level HR certifications. Hardin is working in the PK-12 projects group. Meneses has a background in archaeological scientific illustration, and commercial and residential architecture, and is doing PK-12 projects. Ruiz has experience in hospitality, technology and nonprofit work, and is on the business development and marketing team. Tieu holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Washington. She works in the structural group. Wilder is working on PK-12 projects. Donovan has a background in the science and technology, health care and residential sectors, and is working on PK-12 projects. Pranoto holds a bachelor of engineering in architecture from Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung-Indonesia and a master of architecture from Washington University in St. Louis. She is working on PK-12 projects. Wilson holds a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Idaho and a master of architecture degree from the University of Oregon's Portland Urban Architecture Studio. He is working on education projects. Integrus provides architectural, structural engineering, interior design and security design services.

In Salem, Oregon, West Consultants hired Robert Predosa as a staff engineer. In Bellevue, it hired Katie Messick as a geographic information systems specialist and Shelby Fowler as a hydraulic engineer. In San Diego, California, it hired Filippo Bressan as a senior hydraulic engineer. Predosa holds a master's in water resources engineering from Oregon State University. At West, he has mapped a floodplain at Cowiche Creek in Yakima County. Messick has 16 years of experience in hydraulics, hydrology, two years as a GIS specialist, and background as a botanist and field ecologist. At West, she worked on flood protection for Montesano. Fowler has five years of experience conducting hydrologic, hydraulic and coastal studies, and has worked for the Corps of Engineers. At West, he evaluated the effects of a bridge replacement in the Skagit River Valley for BNSF Railway Co. Bressan has over nine years of experience in hydraulic and water resources engineering, and has designed HEC-RAS hydraulic and sediment transport models to assess impacts of hydropower dams. He has worked on the Imperial County Hydrology Manual at West.

Seattle Genetics

Seattle Genetics announced two promotions and an appointment to the company's clinical development leadership team. Vaughn B. Himes, Ph.D., has been promoted to chief technical officer. Dennis Benjamin, Ph.D., has been promoted to senior vice president for translational research. Robert J. Lechleider, M.D., was appointed senior vice president for clinical development.

Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine

The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University added four administrators: Danny Teraguchi is associate dean of student affairs, Ann Poznanski is associate dean of curriculum, Ralitsa Akins is associate dean of faculty talent, recognition and enhancement, and Dawn Cooper is interim assistant dean of medical student scholarship.

Lane Powell has formed a Business Transitions Team. A. Jeffery Bird, Lewis M. Horowitz and Benjamin G. Lenhart will lead the group, which assists clients in developing transition plans. The firm said many private businesses do not have such plans at a time when baby boomers are retiring.

Seattle Municipal Court

Seattle Municipal Court Presiding Judge Karen Donohue won the 2016 Judge William Nevins Award for her work with youth and civic education. Donohue co-founded the Seattle Youth Traffic Court in 2012, a partnership between Seattle Municipal Court, Seattle University School of Law, Garfield High School and Seattle Police Department that promotes understanding of the law and courts.

Ash Grove Cement Co. hired Kevin Hoffman as sales representative in the Bellevue office. Hoffman's territory covers Western and Central Washington, as well as Alaska. He spent the last five years at Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington.

Casey Carson joined Bellevue-based Powell Construction Co. as project engineer. Carson previously worked at BNBuilders. He has experience in commercial buildings, tenant improvements, public works, site management, document controls and estimating. He holds a master's degree in construction management from Central Washington University.

Mike Morrison, founder and president of Value Management Consulting in Redmond, was re-certified as a Cost Consultant Professional by AACE International. Morrison has been continuously certified in three-year increments that AACE International maintains since 1977. His company provides value engineering, cost estimating and constructability reviews.

Sierra Construction Co.

Woodinville-based general contractor Sierra Construction Co. recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. The company was founded by brothers Bob and Roger Collins with a start-to-finish approach that involves Sierra in all phases of work: site selection, design, permitting and construction. Bob was in charge of field operations and Roger took care of office administration, bidding and marketing. Bob died in December 1992, but Roger carried on with the company.

Abbott Construction

Abbott Construction unveiled a new logo and the tagline “Built True. Built Together.” The company says the logo and tagline honor its past, reflect who it is today and symbolize its future. Abbott also changed the URL of its website to abbottconstruction.com. Abbott is based in Seattle with regional offices in Portland and Los Angeles. John McGowan is president and CEO, and Troy Stedman is chief operating officer.
