In Seattle, Maul Foster & Alongi hired Charla Skaggs as a senior communications and public outreach specialist. Skaggs was manager of strategic communications and corporate media at the Port of Seattle, and most recently was a consultant for transportation, transit and port-related developments. Maul Foster & Alongi is an environmental consulting firm, with offices in Washington, Idaho and Oregon.

In Seattle, Bassetti Architects promoted Mariko Parris and Christopher Wilton to associate. Parris has over 10 years of experience in interior design, and providing furniture, fixtures and equipment services. She is working on Lynnwood Elementary School. Wilton has over 30 years of experience. He is business manager for the Seattle and Portland offices, and will continue to focus on operational and financial management of the firm.

SCJ Alliance hired Lisa Reid as Seattle engineering manager to lead and manage expansion into the Seattle area. Reid has 23 years of experience in management, design, construction management, inspection and sustainability. She led development for a sustainability rating tool for the Federal Highway Administration called INVEST that is used nationally. SCJ provides transportation planning and design, civil engineering, environmental and urban planning, landscape architecture and design, and public outreach.

Tacoma-based Architects Rasmussen Triebelhorn hired Brent Wilson as a job captain. Wilson has over six years of experience in design, development, construction and education. He is working on Port of Olympia building assessments and projects for Yakima County.

Fonslow has over 11 years of leadership experience on health care, science and technology, higher education, civic, commercial and industrial projects. He is working on the Seattle Asian Art Museum renovation and expansion. In Spokane, Trindera Engineering hired Aaron Whiting as a senior electrical engineer and Mark Martin as an electrical project engineer in the commercial group. Whiting has nine years of experience in the K-12 market. He was with Hargis Engineers in Seattle. Martin has 12 years of experience in health care and higher education. He was with Stantec in Portland. Trindera is an electrical and control systems engineering and consulting firm, with an office also in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

He has over 25 years of experience at publicly traded engineering organizations and managed environmental programs for federal clients. Cardno is an infrastructure and environmental services company.

Taylor Washburn, a Lane Powell attorney in the Litigation Practice Group, has been admitted to the Washington State Bar. Washburn focuses his practice on securities and corporate governance litigation, and investigations by the SEC, FINRA and state regulators.

Washington Newspaper Publishers Association

Washington Newspaper Publishers Association said Kris Passey, publisher of the Marysville Globe and Arlington Times in the 1990s, has pancreatic cancer and is not expected to live more than a few months. He is a former WNPA board member and taught at Western Washington University. WNPA is raising funds for an internship to honor him, and the Washington Coalition for Open Government is presenting him with the 2017 James Madison Award for his work on open records and meetings.
