Seattle-based Magnusson Klemencic Associates promoted Sean Clifton and Adam Theiss to senior associate, and James Mahoney, Peter Range, Griffin Smith and Jana Tetikova to associate. Clifton is focused on residential, hospitality and mixed-use projects, including Marriott AC/Le Meridien in Denver. Theiss has led office and residential high-rise projects in the U.S. He is working on River Point Office Tower in Chicago. Mahoney is in the health care group working on UW Medicine Phase 3.2. Range is in the sports group working on the Detroit Redwings Event Center. Smith is in the cultural group working on Seattle Opera's expansion at Seattle Center. Tetikova focuses on high-rise housing and hotels, and is working on Trinity, a residential development in San Francisco. MKA, which also has a branch in Chicago, provides structural and civil engineering services worldwide.

SHKS Architects promoted Cassidy Zimmerman and Adam Hutschreider to associate. Zimmerman concentrates on residential and institutional projects, including Seattle Fire Station 8. Hutschreider has contributed to projects at the University of Washington and renovation of Seattle Animal Shelter. SHKS designs buildings and sites, focusing on adaptive reuse and rehabilitation.

TCF Architecture of Tacoma promoted Mark Hurley and Steve Wachtler to principal, Holli Smith, Andrew Hickman and Gerry Pless to senior associate, and Mona Rezvani and Scott Olson to associate. Hurley specializes in public industrial projects and has planned and designed maintenance, operations and administrative facilities for nearly a decade. He is managing projects for Kitsap County. Wachtler has over 10 years of experience on K-12 projects for clients that include the Seattle and Tumwater school districts. He co-manages the firm's project delivery systems group. Smith is an interior design architect, and manages the business development group. Hickman has led projects, including new construction and renovations, while managing the IT group. Pless works on K-12 projects and is human resources manager. Olson has worked on the Agri-plex building and renovation projects for Washington State Fair. Rezvani has graphics and project management experience, and focuses on industrial projects. She is working on projects for the Port of Olympia.

Josh Jacobs, former CEO of Accuen Media, is joining the Seattle-based media and publisher platform Maven in a full-time officer role and as executive co-chair of the board of directors. Jacobs was president of services at the messaging app Kik Interactive, and has also worked at Omnicom Media Group and Yahoo.

Red Dot Corp.

Red Dot Corp., a Seattle-based provider of heating and air conditioning for commercial and military vehicles, hired Brian Kennedy as strategic sourcing manager. Kennedy will lead the aftermarket customer service team. He was with the HVAC manufacturer Bergstrom as aftermarket purchasing manager. John McCormack has been hired as senior supply chain manager. He was director of supply chain at Qualitel, an electronics manufacturing company.

Stoel Rives said Gabrielle Glemann has joined the firm as an of counsel attorney in the corporate group in Seattle. Glemann has experience in national and international bankruptcy. She was with Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York City. Stoel Rives has 10 offices in seven states and the District of Columbia.

Itron

Liberty Lake-based Itron said Joan Hooper has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer. Hooper has more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. She was CFO of CHC Helicopter in Vancouver, British Columbia, and also worked at Dell and AT&T.

In Seattle, Alston Construction hired Tim Jones as superintendent. Jones has expertise constructing industrial, mixed-use and retail buildings ranging from $8 million to $74 million. Alston specializes in general contracting, design-build and construction management for industrial, healthcare, office and retail markets.






NECA

Stuart

The Puget Sound Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association hired Jamie Stuart as its first safety director. Stuart is using his 18 years of industry experience to address members' safety needs, such as assessing work sites and evaluating safety plans. He also is overseeing several NECA safety committees, assisting the NECA Safety Award Program, and managing NECA safety training and education programs. The local chapter is the second of 119 chapters nationwide to employ a safety director.
