DCI Engineers

Bean

Troy Bean, a principal with DCI Engineers, transferred from the Seattle headquarters to the Missoula, Montana office. Bean has over 20 years of experience on municipal, industrial, commercial, residential and agricultural buildings. In Seattle, he worked on the design of wood-framed modular construction, particularly for N-Habit Belltown. He also oversaw design of the 1.5 million-square-foot Project Granite warehouse in DuPont. In 2017, DCI bought BCE Structural, a structural engineering firm in Montana, with offices in Missoula, Bozeman, Billings and Kalispell.

Seattle-based Hargis Engineers promoted Jon Horn to senior associate and David Olson, Levi Lynn, Nathan Liston, Michael Dietsch, Trevor Christman and Mark Merritt to associate. Horn, a mechanical engineer, leads commercial tenant improvements and mission-critical projects in the U.S. for Fortune 100 and 500 firms. Olson leads several mechanical K-12 projects in the region. Lynn, Liston and Dietsch lead the firm's national and international NDA clients' workspace and mission-critical security design. Christman provides mechanical leadership on high-tech applications. Merritt consults on several Washington state institutions' campus electrical systems. Hargis provides consulting engineering and commissioning services.

Covington

In Bellevue, Osborn Consulting hired Cheyenne Covington as a project manager, Henry Jones as a project engineer and Kevin Ward as a CADD technician. Covington has experience in stormwater model analysis, conveyance sizing, flood mitigation, stream and culvert retrofits, detention and water quality design and green stormwater infrastructure/LID implementation. Jones is a University of Washington graduate and has experience in stormwater drainage and fluvial restoration for fish habitat. Ward has experience in data management, spatial analysis and utilities infrastructure.

Abenroth

In Everett, Reid Middleton hired Phil Abenroth as survey manager and promoted Seth Stapleton to senior structural engineer. Abenroth has 25 years of experience in municipal route surveying, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way determinations and AutoCAD basemaps. Stapleton has 13 years of structural engineering and project management experience, specializing in K-12 school, mixed-use and commercial concrete design. He is working on Sehome High School in Bellingham. Reid Middleton provides structural and civil engineering, and surveying and permitting services.

Kirkland-based Milbrandt Architects promoted Anna Thompson and David Vincent to principal. Thompson has been with Milbrandt since 2008, working on large residential projects, including master planned communities. Vincent was hired in 2011. He has experience on residential, institutional, commercial, mixed-use and multifamily projects, and worked in construction for 12 years.

T-Mobile

In Bellevue, T-Mobile COO Mike Sievert joined the company's board of directors. T-Mobile hired Sievert in 2012 as executive vice president and chief marketing officer. The board increases to 12 directors with Sievert.

Chihuly Foundation

Seattleites Quenton Baker and Paul Rucker won 2018 Arts Innovator Awards of $25,000. Baker is a poet and educator. Rucker is a visual artist, composer and musician. The awards recognize innovative Washington artists, and are funded by the Dale and Leslie Chihuly Foundation.

Bellevue Chamber of Commerce

Entries for the 29th Annual Eastside Business Awards are due March 2 to Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. Categories are: Eastside Business of the Year, Eastside Small Business of the Year, Innovative Product or Service of the Year, and Entrepreneurial Spirit — Startup of the Year. Spokane Superior Court

Michelle Szambelan was appointed to Spokane County Superior Court. Szambelan replaces retiring Judge Linda Tompkins, who has served on the bench for 20 years. Szambelan has been a judge in Spokane Municipal Court for nine years, and was assistant city attorney and acting city prosecutor for Spokane.
