Edge Foundation

Carruthers

Jan Carruthers is the new executive director of Edge Foundation, a Seattle nonprofit that coaches at-risk students who are non-traditional learners. Carruthers was a fundraising consultant and deputy director at the foundation. Prior to that, she was chief of planning and development for the DSHS Bureau of Juvenile Rehabilitation, chief of staff for two U.S. House representatives and a high school teacher.

City of Tacoma

Jeff Robinson will join the city of Tacoma on July 9 as community and economic development director. For the past 10 years, Robinson was community and economic development director at the city of SeaTac. He held a similar role at the Martin Luther King Housing Development Association, and was vice president at Mercy Housing.

Sarcos Robotics

Lt. Gen. Stephen Lanza joined the board of Sarcos Robotics, which makes full-body exoskeleton robots for industrial and military applications. Lanza was commanding general of the Army's I Corps at JBLM, and served in the Army from 1980 through 2017. Sarcos is headquartered in Salt Lake City, with an office in Bellevue.

AppViewX

Seattle technology firm AppViewX appointed Ryan Windham CEO. Windham was CEO at Cedexis, which was acquired by Citrix Systems in February. Before that, he was vice president of product management at F5 Networks, and worked for 10 years at Websense. Former AppViewX CEO Anand Purusothaman continues as board chair. AppViewX automates and manages data centers.

In Seattle, Lease Crutcher Lewis hired J.B. Hall as project executive; Rob Schuck as project manager; Max Wright, Lauren Ridgeway and Martin Zermeno as project engineers; and Brooks Muchenberger and Delaney Cooper as operations assistants. Hall has 33 years of construction experience and was a carpenter at one point. Schuck, DBIA, LEED GA, has seven years of industry experience and is working on a Microsoft project. Wright, a licensed professional engineer in California with five years of construction experience, is working on the Arbor Blocks project. Ridgeway worked at Lewis from 2001 to 2005, and is on the Rainier Square job. Zermeno joined the company after interning since 2016. He is working at Kirk and Mead elementary schools. Muchenberger has been in the industry since 2015. Cooper has five years of office administration and accounting experience.

The Walsh Group

Murbach

In Tukwila, The Walsh Group hired Chris Murbach as project engineer. Murbach interned three times at Walsh in Seattle and prior to that interned for a Tri-Cities general carpenter. He is helping with estimates on the P-256 maintenance hangar project on Whidbey Island.

In Seattle, Cairncross & Hempelmann added attorneys J. Aaron Duffy, Brian L. Taylor and Lauren M. Schulz. Duffy's practice focuses on real estate transactions, including common-interest communities and urban infill projects. Taylor focuses on construction negotiation and disputes, including construction defects and general liability. Schulz specializes in commercial transactions, entertainment law, intellectual property protection and general corporate matters.

Titus

Bruce Titus of Bruce Titus Automotive Group in Tacoma was named president of the Washington State Auto Dealers Association. Titus said his goal is to increase outreach with elected officials in Olympia. The association represents 294 dealers.

Navos

MultiCare affiliate Navos is merging with Community Psychiatric Clinic. The two nonprofits say the merger will allow them to increase access to urgently needed mental health services across King County. The merger will take effect Nov. 1 and the resulting company will operate as Navos. It will primarily serve low-income children, youth and adults.

TrueBlue

In Tacoma, workforce solutions provider TrueBlue acquired TMP Holdings, a United Kingdom-based recruitment marketer. TMP will operate through TrueBlue's PeopleScout business.
