Sound Transit

Butler

Tracy Butler is Sound Transit's new CFO. Butler was interim CFO and joined the agency in 2007 as treasurer. She has 20 years of experience as a senior financial leader. While managing Sound Transit's debt program, she negotiated a $2 billion master credit agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Seattle Art Museum

Papanikolas

Seattle Art Museum named Dr. Theresa Papanikolas curator of American art. Papanikolas, an expert in 20th century American art, is deputy director of art and programs at Honolulu Museum of Art. Before that she was curatorial fellow at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She starts at SAM in January, replacing Patricia Junker who retired after 13 years at SAM.

Boeing

Boeing and Adient formed a joint venture called Adient Aerospace to make airplane seats. Alan Wittman is CEO of the new company, which has a customer service center in Seattle and product development operations in Germany. Wittman was director of business operations for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. His team is Jason Fahlbush (COO), Jorg Kaib (CFO) and Frank Toenniges (vice president of engineering) from Adient; and Gary Senechal (vice president of sales and marketing) and Stefanie Rautio (vice president of certification and regulatory compliance) from Boeing.

Seattle 2030 District

Seattle 2030 District, a public-private collaborative creating a high-performance building district downtown, handed out its 2018 Vision Awards. The winners are: Mayor Jenny A. Durkan/City of Seattle for leadership; Stone 34 (Brooks Running/Laird Norton/Skanska/Unico) for leadership; Cyrene (Mack Real Estate Development) for energy; 1201 Third Ave. (Wright Runstad & Co.) for water; and Expeditors downtown offices for transportation.

Washington State Parks

Hoch

Washington State Parks Director Don Hoch was inducted into the American Academy for Park & Recreation Administration. Hoch has 40 years of park and recreation experience, with 14 years at Washington State Parks. Academy members must have at least 15 years of high level administration in a park and recreation agency.








City of Tacoma

Tanisha Jumper was appointed media and communications director for the city of Tacoma. Jumper was program manager and, for the last nine months, was interim director. Before joining the city in 2015, she was senior vice president of community impact at United Way of Greater Dayton in Ohio.

Tacoma Venues & Events

Kim Bedier, director of Tacoma Venues & Events for the city of Tacoma, was named Venue Executive of the Year by the International Entertainment Buyers Association. Bedier is responsible for the Tacoma Dome, Greater Tacoma Convention Center, Pantages and Rialto theaters, Theater on the Square and Cheney Stadium.

T-Mobile

In Bellevue, T-Mobile has signed on to Puget Sound Energy's Green Direct program. The move gives it access to local wind and solar energy sources, which will be used to power its headquarters with 100 percent renewable energy by 2021.

Laconia says Spire is pre-selling well

Back in June, Laconia Development and Chinese partner Vanke announced that the 41-story Spire, now under construction at 600 Wall St., would be condos, not apartments. Realogics Sotheby's International Realty is marketing the 347 units, and the companies now report that the first open house this month yielded 114 reservations worth $125 million. Realogics' Dean Jones said about a third of the condos were reserved quickly “with strong demand at all property types and price points.” He estimates that 25 percent of the pre-sold units were priced at over $1 million. Prices run from about $500,000 to $3.5 million. The sales center will open Oct. 27 at 2218 Fifth Ave. in Belltown.

























CBRE promotes Kim Berg

Berg

CBRE has promoted Kim Berg to managing director of asset services for Seattle and Portland. She'll oversee about 48.7 million square feet in all categories. The 17-year industry veteran will remain in the Seattle office, where she recently specialized in the Eastside and Seattle central business district.










NKF bulks up on valuation

Newmark Knight Frank has added seven people to its Seattle valuation and advisory practice. Reporting to team leader Stan E. Wolf will be Nancy Dawn, Dane Armbruster, Joe Dracobly, Chris Mealy, Darnell Ford, Austin Johnson and Devon Preiser. Many of them came from Cushman & Wakefield. Down in Portland, NKF has added Ryan S. Prusse, Jennifer Tillema, John Boyle and Louis Knox to its V&A team.

Cherney joins Greystone in Seattle

New York-based lender, investor and advisor Greystone has added Jennifer Cherney to its Northwest team. She makes the move from JP Morgan Chase. Greystone says she's negotiated and closed more than 400 transactions valued in excess of $6 billion, mostly in the multifamily sector. Greystone is active in health care and multifamily finance, with platforms including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS and FHA.
