The Cugini family and Vulcan Northwest are close to an agreement in Renton that would remove a major obstacle to Port Quendall, the largest redevelopment project on Lake Washington.
The Cuginis and Vulcan each called Renton city officials at the start of this week to ask for a one-week delay in a public hearing because they near a deal, said Sue Carlson, the city's administrator for economic development, neighborhoods and strategic planning.
