Target eyes site on I-405

  • Retail developers and tenants are taking a look at surplus Boeing parking lots in Renton.

    Two huge Boeing parking lots next to Interstate 405 in Renton are attracting a lot of attention as future retail sites, while Boeing continues forming long-term plans to reduce the acreage of its massive Renton plant by as much as 30 percent.

    Target Corp. is negotiating to buy half of the lot closest to the freeway, called Lot 6, from the Fry's Electronics chain.
