Boeing deal good news for Southend

  • After winning a $3.8 billion Navy contract last month, Boeing has decided to re-lease Two Renton Place.

    The Boeing Co. has surprised Southend real estate observers by re-leasing Two Renton Place, a 137,000-square-foot office building.

    Boeing has been giving back scads of space since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, sent the airline industry into a tailspin. By some estimates, the company has vacated as much as 2 million square feet in the Southend in recent years.
