Aloft hotel brand comes to Portland

PORTLAND — Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is partnering with Pollin Hotels III, LLC to break ground on Oregon's first of a new hotel brand called aloft. The 136-room hotel will go in Cascade Station Center in Portland and open next summer.

Developer Harold Pollin said aloft will provide a stylish, less expensive alternative for the “growing Gen X/Y traveler.”
