State picks 11 zones for economic focus

North Carolina has Research Triangle. California has Torrey Pines. And Washington has ... the Aerospace Convergence Zone?

Gov. Chris Gregoire announced on Monday the state has designated 11 Innovation Partnership Zones, which are geographic areas that contribute to the region's economy.
