Mountlake Terrace may upzone center

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Updates to Mountlake Terrace's downtown zoning codes will be considered at a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Dec. 15 in the library at 23300 58th Ave. W.

The updates set size and lot coverage requirements for six-story buildings. On Dec. 1, the city council amended its comprehensive plan to allow developments of up to six stories in a one-block area in the planned town center. Additional energy conservation and stormwater design features must be provided.
