RENTON (AP) — A spectacular fire that broke out Tuesday night in a five-story apartment complex under construction in the Highlands neighborhood of Renton sent up a smoke plume visible for miles.
Renton Fire Chief David Daniels told KCPQ-TV he was not aware of any injuries from the fire. Ten to 15 nearby homes were briefly evacuated as a precaution; the complex itself was unoccupied.
