PORTLAND — The Washington County board of commissioners on Tuesday voted to temporarily reduce its transportation development tax that took effect earlier this year.
Developers are getting a 20 percent tax reduction for one year on new homes and commercial projects permitted after July 1 of this year. The savings amount to $920 on single-family developments, $1,147 on shopping centers, $2,269 on medical centers and $886 on office buildings.
