Smith now proposes 340 apartments for his 2nd & Pike site

  • The developer has scrapped his plan for a Candela Hotel/condo complex.

    The developer Urban Visions plans a 35-story high-end apartment tower with a “sky bar” and restaurant overlooking Pike Place Market instead of a Candela Hotel/condo complex it previously announced for the prime downtown site.

    The Seattle-based firm has filed plans with the city for the 340-unit high-rise on a site at the southeast corner of Second Avenue and Pike Street that is now a parking lot.
