SPOKANE (AP) — Organizers hoping to develop a science center for Riverfront Park have pulled their plans, opting to look elsewhere for the project.
Officials with Mobius, a nonprofit group raising money for the science center, tell The Spokesman-Review that the decision to stop negotiations for a site in Riverfront Park will allow them to move forward on the project quicker. They believe in a new location with a scaled-down proposal, the center could open as soon as 2011.
