Columbia City is getting a little hotel

Developer Rob Mohn wants to turn an old Columbia City apartment building, shown here on the right, into a hotel and add four new hotel suites in a new building, shown on the left. An atrium and courtyard will connect the two.

Seattle’s Columbia City is known for its small, local businesses. Their intimate character is what draws people to the historic district, which The New York Times once described as “a gumbo” of art galleries, bike shops, yoga studios and butchers.
