FAA may need new building in Southend

  • The agency's need for 519,000 square feet of office space is so specific that existing facilities probably won't work. Interest in the project is sky high.

    The Puget Sound region's commercial real estate market will get a big boost if the federal government follows through on a proposal to lease nearly 519,000 square feet of office and related space in South King County.

    The Federal Aviation Administration is looking for a new home because its lease is expiring. FAA leases 400,000 square feet with Unico Properties in Renton at 1401 Lind Ave. S.W.
