‘Everybody and their uncle' going after new FAA project

The Federal Aviation Administration’s need for a major new facility in South King County has resulted in a slew of proposals. Unico Properties is proposing to renovate and expand the FAA’s current space in Renton.

Kent city officials say they are teaming up with developer Hines and construction company M.A. Mortenson in hopes of building a new 519,000-square-foot facility for the Federal Aviation Administration.
