Pine Lodge jail rejected by sheriff

SPOKANE (AP) — Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich toured the Pine Lodge women's prison at Medical Lake that the state plans to close and says it is not a viable option for a new county jail.

He told KREM Wednesday that the prison is too spread out and would take too much manpower and money to operate. He says rooms are too flimsy for a medium-security jail.
