SEATTLE — Seattle Children's yesterday paid nearly $62.5 million for the 136-unit Laurelon Terrace Condominiums, which will be razed to make way for the first phase of the hospital's expansion.
The per-unit price works out to almost $459,400. Public records show that King County appraised the units for between $165,000 and $401,000, with most in the low to mid $200,000s.
