Lawmakers reject Miami casino plans

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida lawmakers are rejecting a plan to bring three major casinos to the Miami area.

The proposal is most likely doomed for the year after a House panel on Friday postponed their vote on it. The bill would have granted casino licenses to major developers that have pledged to spend at least $2 billion on resorts.
