Everett landlord hit with $22K fine

SEATTLE — Robert Kerr of Everett will pay a $21,800 penalty for violations of the federal Real Estate Notification and Disclosure Rule, according to a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

From 2008-10, Kerr leased 26 residential units in Bellingham numerous times and failed to notify tenants about the presence of lead-based paint hazards, according to the EPA.
