UW wants to build TOD project above U District rail station

  • The plans are preliminary and contingent on property sales that will need approval this fall by Sound Transit and the UW.
  • By LYNN PORTER

The University of Washington may build a transit oriented development above a future light rail station across from UW Tower in Seattle's University District.

The UW would own the project above U District Station at Brooklyn Avenue Northeast and Northeast 43rd Street. Sound Transit will own the station, which will be underground except for the entrances.
