City vacates alleys for Amazon project

SEATTLE — The Seattle City Council decided to give up city right of way in three alleys in the Denny Triangle for the new Amazon.com headquarters.

In exchange, Amazon will contribute several public benefits. The company will kick in approximately $150,000 for a park at Eighth, Westlake and Lenora Street.
