City will vacate alley for Amazon

By JOURNAL STAFF

SEATTLE — The Seattle City Council agreed to vacate an alley in South Lake Union for two new Amazon.com buildings to be developed by Vulcan Real Estate.

In exchange, Vulcan will build a east-west pedestrian plaza between the two buildings at 500 Ninth Ave. N. and 515 Westlake Ave. N.
