Kemper buys final Bellevue Square site

BELLEVUE — An entity related to Kemper Development Co. bought the last piece of land on the Bellevue Square block it didn't already own.

The company paid $3.13 million to Khorram Family Investments for the .3 acre site on the northwest corner of Northeast Fourth Street and Bellevue that houses Oriental Rug Co, according to property records.

The Khorram family has operated Oriental Rug Co. on the site for several decades. It is surrounded by parking for Bellevue Square. Plans call for the site to be part of future retail development.
