Housing recovery continues in state

  • Urban areas have seen the biggest recovery, but the state as a whole has fared well.

    The fourth quarter of 2012 capped a good year for the housing market in Washington.

    Home sales increased 3.5 percent from the third quarter and 12 percent from a year ago, according to a report from the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Washington.
