Hill International said it has received a contract to manage construction of a five-story hotel tower and other improvements at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort near the Agate Pass Bridge, which connects Bainbridge Island to the Kitsap Peninsula.
In an effort to become the largest convention center in the West Sound region, the resort is expanding its meeting and entertainment space tenfold, adding 100 guest rooms and building a 700-car parking garage. It currently has 87 hotel rooms and two conference rooms totaling about 3,000 square feet.
About 74,000 square feet of new casino space will be contained in three floors. Included will be an enlarged gaming area, “fine dining†restaurant, and casino lounge and bar. There also will be a new administration wing.
Construction is scheduled to start in June and take 12 months to finish. The general contractor is Korsmo Construction of Tacoma and the architect is Rice Fergus Miller of Bremerton.
