City looking at tighter micro housing rules

This micro-housing complex at 1304 E. John St. has 56 studios in eight “dwelling units,” connected by common kitchens.

Micro-housing units, sometimes known as apodments, are gaining popularity in Seattle as a cheaper housing option, but the city says there are problems with the regulation of these projects and changes may be coming.
