Vancouver-based EmpRes Healthcare Management LLC bought No Place Like Home Senior Care in Gardnerville, Nev., from founder Rick Ackerson. The company has three other nursing homes near Carson City, Nev. EmpRes Healthcare affiliates own and operate 45 nursing homes, rehab centers and assisted-living communities in Washington, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada and Oregon.
