Former broker get prison for mortgage fraud

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a former Eugene, Ore., real estate broker to 21 months in prison for running a mortgage fraud scheme that cost banks and other financers more than $250,000.

The Register-Guard reports (http://is.gd/ox0GVm ) that Laura Snyder earlier pleaded guilty to eight counts of wire fraud after an investigation of two businesses she ran that purchased and then managed rental homes in Eugene and Springfield.
