Housing recovery still has a long way to go

  • RealtyTrac says 46 percent of U.S. counties are still at least 30 percent below their 10-year median home price peaks.
  • RealtyTrac says it has analyzed the median prices of residential property between January 2004 and March 2014 in 1,567 counties nationwide, and found an uneven pattern of recovery in U.S. housing markets.

    Twenty percent of the counties hit a new 10-year peak in 2013 or 2014, but 46 percent of the counties are still at least 30 percent below their 10-year peak.
