CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — After protests from residents, the Oregon community college based in Albany has backed off the idea of buying city parkland to expand its Corvallis branch.
The president of the Linn-Benton Community College, Greg Hamann, says the school will instead examine alternatives to buying part of the 4-acre Washington Park in the central part of the city.
