Point Ruston, the new neighborhood along the Tacoma-Ruston waterfront, has landed a restaurant.

WildFin American Grill focuses on Pacific Northwest ingredients, and will open its third location next spring at Point Ruston.

The opening will coincide with completion of the Century Building, which will have a nine-screen theater, 44 condos and 95 apartments. The building is under construction now.

Construction began in September on a grocery store and 1,300 underground parking spaces.

These projects are part of Point Ruston's second phase, which also includes a 180-room Silver Cloud Inn and more retail and restaurants.

Point Ruston LLC, a subsidiary of MC Construction Consultants, is developing the 97-acre site, which could eventually house up to 3,000 people and have 2 million square feet of space for shopping, entertainment and recreation.

The first phase was Copperline, which has 173 apartments and 44 condos.

The investment in both phases is about $250 million. Mike Cohen of MC Construction Consultants told the DJC in July the entire Point Ruston project could cost about $1 billion.

Cohen said MC Construction Consultants is doing most of the design and construction in house, but has worked with a number of architects and engineers.

Asarco once operated a smelter on the site. Asarco paid $100 million for cleanup and MC Construction added $28 million.

WildFin American Grill opened in Issaquah in 2011 and in Renton in 2013. The Point Ruston restaurant will have more than 200 seats, and a walk-up window on the Grand Plaza.
