A real estate investment company owned by Scott Shapiro, the developer who helped create Melrose Market on Capitol Hill, is purchasing a building near the north end of the Broadway retail area that has been home to Harvard Exit theater since the 1960s, according to a report on the Capitol Hill Seattle blog.
City records show Shapiro has applied for a permit to alter the mixed-use building at 807 E. Roy St. The proposal is for alterations “to update business and assembly occupancies.”
