45% of office leasing here in 2014 was tech

  • Jones Lang LaSalle says more than 5.1 million square feet of office space is under construction around the region and only 26 percent has been preleased.

    It was another strong year in 2014 for Seattle's office market, according to a report from Jones Lang LaSalle.

    The Seattle's area vacancy rate at the end of the fourth quarter was 10.7 percent — the fifth lowest in the country, behind New York, Portland, San Francisco and Salt Lake City.
