Zachary Pullin and Jermaine Smiley have been appointed to Seattle Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners. The seven-member board oversees policies and approves the budget. Commissioners also hire the executive director, a position currently held by Andrew Lofton. Commissioners are appointed to four-year terms by the mayor and confirmed by City Council. Pullin and Smiley both lived in public housing growing up. Pullin works in communications for Service Employees International Union. Smiley is an organizer at Laborers' Local 242 and executive director of an affordable housing nonprofit.
