The U.S. General Services Administration picked Panattoni Development of Newport Beach, California, to build space for the Federal Aviation Administration's northwest and mountain region office.
The new building will be about 300,000 square feet. The site is at the corner of South 216th Street and 24th Avenue South, where Panattoni is building the 87-acre Des Moines Creek Business Park.
Bart Brynestad, who heads Panattoni's Seattle office, said construction is expected to begin early next year and take about 18 months to complete.
CollinsWoerman is designing the FAA building, and Abbott Construction is building it.
