Built during an earlier boom, Belltown apartments nominated as a landmark

  • The application was prepared for the North American affiliate of a Chinese company called TeamRise, which said in 2014 that it wanted the site for condos.

    Historic Seattle said the 36-unit Franklin Apartments is a fine example of a building that created housing for middle class workers near downtown.

    The Franklin Apartments were built in 1918 in Belltown to provide housing for downtown workers as Seattle underwent remarkable growth.
