Carino and Associates recently opened The Henry, its second housing project on Tacoma's Thea Foss Waterway.

The building at 1933 Dock St. has 161 apartments and 10,000 square feet of office and retail space. Apartments range from 553-square-foot studios to 1,138-square-foot units with two bedrooms and two baths. Most have waterway views from private balconies.

Tenants share a rooftop dog run and deck, fitness center, clubhouse, patio and parking garage. There also is a public waterfront patio and an esplanade.

A Carino official could not be reached for comment and rents were not listed on the website, but the Tacoma News Tribune reported last summer that rents range from $1,100 to $2,900 a month.

Carino also owns Thea's Landing, which was built about a decade ago at 1705 Dock St.

Rents at Thea's Landing range from about $1,100 a month for a 500-square-foot studio to $2,000 for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit with 1,100 square feet, according to the website. Rents for the largest units, nearly 1,400 square feet, were not listed.

Carino's project team for The Henry was: The Henry Group, developer; Sierra Construction, design-build general contractor; and BCRA Architects, designer.

Major subcontractors were Geopier Northwest, RailPro (railing and decks), Willco Construction (wood framing), Advanced Interior Services (wallboard), McGregor Door & Hardware, PST Floors, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Patriot Fire Protection, Peltram Plumbing and Independent Electrical Contractors.
